We
are a group of baptized believers, scripturally organized,
who meet together for the purpose of encouraging one another
and equipping ourselves to reach our world with the gospel
of Jesus Christ. These are some of the distinctive
characteristics of the Beamsville Church of Christ:
Christ-Centered
Caring Family We are a group of
believers striving to make Jesus Christ central in our lives. He is the "head" of the church and it is around Him
that our vision, values, priorities, practices and goals
revolve. Our congregation is like a caring family that
values unity, loyalty, commitment, fellowship and love.
The Bible is the Written Word
We believe the Bible is
fully inspired, and that it is absolutely reliable and
infallible in all matters that pertain to life with God and
others. We also believe in the tri-unity of God (Father,
Son, and Spirit), the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, the
sinfulness of mankind, the redemptive work of Christ on the
cross, and salvation through our faith in God and His grace.
An Independent Congregation...
We are autonomous and
self-governing. As a congregation we choose our own pastors
(elders); we elect our own trustees; we send our own
missionaries; we settle our own internal challenges; we
determine our own fiscal policy.
Encouraging Each Other... We believe that every
Christian has been called to unconditional surrender of his
or her life totally to Christ. It is our desire as a church
to encourage one another to establish and develop an
intimate relationship with God, one that is not
characterized by a legalistic or judgmental attitude, but
one where we seek God's will for our lives in our everyday
activities, associations and our life goals and
aspirations. As a family of believers, we take our
responsibility seriously to "build" one another toward these
important objectives.
